What does "Chthonic-Auranian" mean?

Chthonic means hidden, occult, and "of the earth". Auranian (also spelled Ouranian) derives from Auranos, or Oranos (from which Uranus is the modern English equivalent). Auranian is the mirror of Chthonic.

I prefer Auranos because it incorporates AUR, the hebrew for light. Others prefer Oranos because back when we were known as an OTO, it made us the CO-OTO, analogous to the co-Masons.

Auranian means of the sky, luminous, non-hidden. The pair is analogous to the Yin-Yang, in some ways. Our order is both hidden (veiled), earthy, dark -- while at the same time being visible, luminous, extra-terrestrial. both the dayside and nightside of the Tree are manifest in our ways and philosophies.
